LOCAL SUBURBS TO MISS OUT ON LABOR’S FAST BROADBAND
Five suburbs in my electorate are specifically excluded from Labor’s fast broadband commitment. Brooklyn; Cowan; Dangar Island; parts of Glenorie; Kenthurst; and down to Wiseman’s Ferry will miss out. That means nearly 4,000 constituents will not benefit from Labor’s new broadband announcement AND another 1.5 million Australians will also be disappointed because Labor has said that its fast network will only extend to 90 percent of Australians. It is obvious that all of those abandoned in Labor’s new plan will come from regional Australia or in my electorate more remote areas particularly down towards the Hawkesbury River.
Given that the Government plans to take eight years to build its network, constituents will again have to wait! This is just not good enough!
