THINK CLIMATE THINK CHANGE COMPETITION
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP said today that primary and secondary school students from years 3-9 are invited to use their creative talents to answer the question: 'What does climate change mean to me?'
“To enter the competition, students can choose to do one of the following: write a short story; write a poem or rap lyrics; or create a storyboard or a piece of artwork to tell a story,” Mr Ruddock said.
Entries can be produced by hand or using a computer and must be submitted on the official competition entry form (PDF, 296kb) (or 2 x A4 sheets of paper or 1 x A3 sheet of paper may be attached to the entry form). All of the details at the bottom of the entry form must be completed.
Entries should be addressed and mailed to:
The Think Climate Think Change Competition, 272 Prospect Road, PROSPECT SA 5082
“There are some wonderful prizes that your students are going to think are fantastic! Entries will be judged in three categories, years 3-4, 5-7, and 8-9. Judging criteria will be based on creativity, originality and attention to the theme,” Philip Ruddock said.
First place winners in each category will be flown to Canberra in August 2009 with a parent or guardian to share their ideas with the Government and other interesting prizes.
