SUPPORT FOR ROYAL LIFE SAVING’S ‘KEEP WATCH’ CAMPAIGN
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP said today that he fully supports the Royal Life Saving’s Keep Watch Campaign.
“Their campaign reaches households to make aware that even in winter the risk of drowning may drop for young children but this is a year-round issue,” Mr Ruddock said
“Drowning does not just happen at swimming pools, beaches, rivers and dams but also in bathtubs.
“By reminding busy parents and even grandparents of the need to be extra careful with small children all year round is vital.
“I know that Royal Life Saving works hard to keep citizens informed through television advertising; major companies and organisations supporting the Home Pool Safety Campaigns, providing Fridge Magnets and brochures and posters are also provided to keep us informed.
“Drowning can take less than a minute and we all need to be alert, as drowning is most often a silent death,” Philip Ruddock said.
