PHILIP RUDDOCK ROLLS UP HIS SLEEVES FOR SMALL BUSINESS

Philip Ruddock will be joining more than 80 of his state and federal colleagues across New South Wales as they are put to work as part of the NSW Business Chamber’s annual Pollies for Small Business program.

Philip Ruddock, Member for Berowra, will be visiting local business Barry Smith Holden at, 343 Pennant Hills Road, Pennant Hills on Thursday 30th July between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.

Mr Ruddock said he was looking forward to the experience of being in a small business operator’s shoes for a day.

Stephen Cartwright, CEO of NSW Business Chamber said with much of the focus often on the big picture issues, some politicians can at times lose sight of the concerns of small business.

Pollies for Small Business puts our politicians at the coalface and gives small business operators the chance to raise their concerns directly with their local MP.  During rising unemployment that opportunity has never been more important.

‘Last year 102 State and Federal politicians took part from the major parties, greens and independents, including the Premier and NSW Opposition leader.

“This is a great program. It helps business people and MPs understand one another better and we should encourage and support any measures that can help achieve that,” Philip Ruddock said.

The NSW Business Chamber Pollies for Small Business program is run in cooperation with the local Chamber of Commerce network.
