UNICEF CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONVENTION
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP said today that he congratulates UNICEF Australia as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
UNICEF and its partners are the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child may be realised.
On November 20th this marks an important 20th anniversary of the landmark decision by putting child rights on the global agenda.
Certainly it is so important to pursue the Convention on the Rights of the Child and help UNICEF to work towards a global recognition of those children less well off.
“I encourage constituents to attend UNICEF Australia’s function held between 19th – 30th November at Darling Harbour Foreshore at Palm Grove next IMAX.
They are hosting a ‘20/20’ exhibition as part of a range of activities which shows the drawings and photographs of children from 32 countries in five continents around the world. For further information contact: 9261.2811 (p).
