YOUNG MORMANS VISIT PARLIAMENT HOUSE
In a show of bipartisan co-operation, Federal MP Philip Ruddock met with a group of local Young Adults from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as they visited Parliament House at the invitation of Labor MP Roger Price.
‘Since 2007, a group has made the annual trip to Canberra to visit Parliament and learn more about our Parliamentary system.’
‘I was very pleased to be asked to participate again this year.’
Mr Ruddock said he found the group to be bright, communicative and ‘very interested in the workings of Parliament.’
‘They seemed to particularly enjoy the goings on at Question Time’.
The Sydney Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or Mormons as they are also known, is located on the corner of Pennant Hills Road and Moseley Street at Carlingford and has been open to congregations since September 1984.
