Deliverance Rather than Delivery and Decisions
The Prime Minister may have pledged that 2011 would be a year of ‘decisions and delivery’
but local constituents are crying out for ‘deliverance’ from her policies particularly her toxic
carbon tax.”
Federal MP for Berowra, Philip Ruddock said his Electorate Office has been ‘inundated’ by
people calling for an early election and a chance to voice their opposition.
‘Coincidentally, my regular electorate newsletter reached mailboxes shortly before the
Labor/Greens Government propaganda brochure.’
‘I have been staggered by the number of locals who have completed and sent back my survey
sheet already indicating that, for them, the priority is to have no carbon tax and no Gillard
Government.’
‘People see through the web of misleading and inaccurate assertions being made.’
Mr Ruddock said many people had voiced their concern about the waste of money being
spent on the Carbon Tax junk mail - $4 million for the 20 page booklet, ‘and this is just part
of the $25 million advertising campaign they are waging to try and sell their carbon tax.’
‘The leaflet is misleading. It fails to even mention that electricity costs are expected to rise by
20%. It is also deceptive in not providing information about the increase in tax rates. Lifting
the tax threshold while at the same time lifting tax rates is not a tax cut, it’s a tax con.’
