There are seven categories and submissions can be lodged for more than one category.
‘Grants of $1,000 will be made to both primary and secondary schools for applications which support road safety education, with specific grants being provided to develop digital education presentations.’
‘Further grants of $1,000 will go to youth organisations which target youth road safety education initiatives within the community.’
Mr Ruddock identified groups such as university and college groups, sporting clubs, PCYC and scouts or guide groups as being the sort to apply for the Youth category.
‘General community based organisations can apply for grants of up to $5,000 for their initiatives, while both ends of the age spectrum have been accommodated with both Pre schools and Older Road Users being able to apply for grants of $2,500 for initiatives which address their needs.’

Mr Ruddock congratulated the NRMA on once again making these grants available.
‘Successful grant recipients will be announced by 30th October 2011.’
