INTERESTED IN THE ACCESS CARD? REGISTRATION PROCESS RELEASED TODAY

The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP, stated that the Consumer and Privacy Taskforce’s discussion paper on the registration process for the access card was released today.

The paper invites comments on the registration process for the access card and reflects the Government’s commitment to a full and transparent consultation.

“I am confident that this discussion paper will generate many workable solutions on issues surrounding registration for the access card and I urge constituents to take an interest in this matter,” Mr Ruddock said.

“It is part of our ongoing consultation on the introduction of the access card which is planned to be rolled out from 2008.”

“The work that the Taskforce is doing, along with the Government’s ongoing consultative process, ensures that the community is fully informed at every stage of the card’s development.”

The Registration discussion paper is available on the Consumer and Privacy Taskforce publications section of the Office of Access Card website: www.accesscard.gov.au.
