LOCAL MEMBER OPENS iNOVA TECHNOLOGY CENTRE AT THORNLEIGH
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock said that he was pleased to open the iNova Technology Centre today.
“This event is to introduce the newly named company and the iNova Technology Centre to the community so that they may understand the Centre’s capabilities and operations, which are essential to growth activities that will benefit the Australian economy, exports, local employment, health and well being,” Mr Ruddock said.
“iNova Pharmaceuticals is the corporate headquarters for the Asia-Pacific and South Africa as well as a manufacturing facility and it has provided jobs for many local residents, some of whom reside in my electorate of Berowra.”
iNova demonstrates an ongoing commitment to making available quality medicines in Australia and overseas, having recently invested $13 million redeveloping its manufacturing and laboratory facilities at Thornleigh which is the iNova Technology Centre.
This supports the Prime Minister’s announcement that the Australian Government's $1.4 billion Industry Statement to assist Australian businesses to capture the new opportunities presented by changing global markets.
Our focussed and disciplined approach to economic management – which has helped keep inflation and interest rates low – has provided a positive climate for industry growth.
“My tour of the iNova Technology Centre shows how both innovative and environmentally aware iNova is with a refurbished facility capable of meeting increased local and export demand and containing state-of-the-art technologies and processes that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly,” he said.
“Inspecting the centre I have seen firsthand its new technologies and processes in action and met some of the employees working here and I congratulate iNova making an important contribution to Australia’s manufacturing export performance with focus on the Asia-Pacific, New Zealand and South Africa,” Philip Ruddock said.
