NEW LOOK CENTRELINK HORNSBY - OPENING OF REFURBISHED OFFICE
The Hon Philip Ruddock MP, Federal Member for Berowra was pleased to open Centrelink’s expanded Customer Service Centre in Hornsby.
“The office makeover for Hornsby Centrelink enhances the delivery of vital Australian Government services to the local community and it fulfils the Australian Government’s commitment to make it simpler and easier for Australians to do business with us,” Mr Ruddock said.
The office will continue to provide the usual high standard of service to the local community, but now in a more comfortable and modern environment.
“Hornsby is typical of the new face of Centrelink with an open-plan design, modern facilities and the latest customer information products,” Mr Ruddock said.
“Improved facilities, such as new workstations, self-service facilities and more accessible reception points will allow for greater customer privacy and comfort.
“Furniture and décor has been updated, giving the office a fresh, open plan and relaxed feel and waiting areas have also been expanded, with extra seating installed.”
Hornsby Centrelink’s expansion means the first floor will now be dedicated to helping seniors, carers and families access the wide range of payments and services available.
“The refurbishment will ensure customers can locate information and simple solutions that take a ‘whole of government’ approach,” Philip Ruddock said.
“The new office also allows customers to benefit from the convenience of self-service facilities. This means customers can also conduct their Centrelink business online or by phone without the need to stand in a queue and I congratulate Judy Lee and her staff for the smooth transition during the refurbishment and their professional and dedicated approach to providing quality customer service.”
