LOCAL MEMBER TO ASSIST IN THE OPENING OF ARCADIA RURAL FIRE BRIGADE STATION
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP said that he is pleased to attend and take part in the opening of the Arcadia Rural Fire Brigade station on Sunday 4th November.
“I congratulate Arcadia Rural Fire Brigade on their commitment and in raising funds to build their new fire station,” Mr Ruddock said.
The brand new four bay station will be of great benefit to local volunteer fire fighters.”
“Additionally, Federal funding of $13,970 has been provided for equipment under the Emergency Management Australia grants which comes under my portfolio of Attorney-General.”
Equipment proposed for purchase under the Emergency Management Australia grants include a:
· Map Holder & Pelmet
· Personal Computer
· Electronic Whiteboard
· Television
· Mannequin
· Deliberator
· Handheld GPS
“It is important to acknowledge the hard work of Captain Pat Modde and his team at Arcadia, Berrilee and surrounding areas that are very much part of my electorate where bush fires occur,” Philip Ruddock said.
