The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock joined local State Member for Hornsby, Judy Hopwood MP in congratulating Kathie Comb whom she nominated as the Hornsby Electorate Woman of the Year linked to International Women’s Day.
“I have known Kathie Comb for many years and acknowledge her for the dedication she has given to local issues in the Hornsby Shire. Kathie is well known as the Editor of the Bush Telegraph,” Mr Ruddock said.
Kathie is highly regarded in the local area and her generous use of the Bush Telegraph to place human and achievement stories and her obvious love of animals and their rights is widely acknowledged.
“Kathie served for many years on Hornsby Shire Council and has a natural affinity with people in the local area,” Philip Ruddock said.
I am informed that Kathie was nominated by Maureen Flanagan, a past President of Hornsby District Chamber of Commerce, for my State colleague Judy Hopwood MP, who put her name forward to represent the State seat of Hornsby.
“I congratulate Kathie on this award and know that she and her family will take much pride in accepting this on behalf of the Hornsby electorate,” Philip Ruddock said.
