MEDAL PRESENTATION IN ELECTORATE OF BEROWRA

The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP will host a presentation of the Australian Defence Medal for three residents on Friday 17th April 2009.
Background
The Australian Defence Medal was established on 30 March 2006. Over one million Australians are eligible for the medal.
The medal recognises ADF Regular and Reserve personnel who have demonstrated their service to the nation by serving four years or their initial enlistment period, whichever is the lesser, since the end of World War II. Both volunteers and national servicemen are eligible.

Who: Lt Col Peter Woodward representing the Australian Defence Force
TROY BRADLEY O'CONNOR - of Berowra Heights – joined the Australian Army in 1985 and served as an Artillery Missle Number until discharge
BARRY JOHN ROBERTSON – of Castle Hill - Joined the Australian Army in 1954 and served as a Royal Australian Army Service Corps until discharge 1957
MALCOLM LESLIE STEWART – of Round Corner - Joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1970 and served as a Leading Seaman Engineer until discharge in 1975
