NATIONAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP FORUM TO BE HELD IN CANBERRA - SEPTEMBER 2009
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP said today that the National Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values will be held between the 17th – 20th September 2009 in Canberra.
“This annual Forum is a huge success and is a bi-partisan Forum sponsored by over 90 Federal Members of Parliament,” Mr Ruddock said.
“Last year over 200 young people attended this Forum, and it is open to young adults between 18-26 years old for four days. Activities include attending Parliament House, dinners and seminars.
One of the most significant dimensions for the Forum has been the opportunity to meet and talk with parliamentary hosts from the major parties as well as many other interesting activities over 4 days.
“The philosophy of the Forum has been to ensure that all attendees share the same commitment on faith and values and the occasion is an excellent opportunity for people to attend and it can often be a ‘life changing’ experience,” Philip Ruddock said.
Many students find funding through their church, raising the funds themselves, and/or seeking their own employer’s sponsorship.
