ENVIROFUND– REMINDER TO GET IN YOUR NOMINATION - CLOSES THIS WEEK
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP this year’s Envirofund is expected to be the most successful round ever, with more than double the number of grant applications already received than at the same time last year.
“There is less than a week to go before the 2007 round of Envirofund,” Mr Ruddock said.
The Australian Government Envirofund is the local action component of the $3 billion Natural Heritage Trust, providing grants from as little as a few hundred dollars up to $50,000 for on-ground environment projects.
Since it was launched in 2002 the Australian Government has approved nearly 7,000 local projects and provided more than $110 million in funding through Envirofund.
“The options for projects are endless and I encourage anyone with an idea for a worthwhile local environment project to apply,” Philip Ruddock said.
Project applications for Round 9 of the Envirofund close at 5.00pm on Friday 27 April 2007.
