REBATES FOR RAINWATER TANKS AND GREYWATER SYSTEMS
The Member for Berowra, Philip Ruddock MP said today that the Government has offered households a rebate of up to $500 for the purchase of a rainwater tank or a greywater system.
“This rebate encourages constituents to use water wisely but demonstrates a commitment to helping households have drinking water. This program will support constituents who are prepared to take personal responsibility for conserving our water supples,” Mr Ruddock said.
Rebates are available for:
• The purchase and installation of a new rainwater tank which is connected for internal use of the water for toilet and/or laundry use; or
• The purchase and installation of a permanent greywater treatment system.
“A $400 rebate is available for a 2,000 – 3,999 lite tank and a $500 rebate is available for a tank greater than 4,000 litres. A $500 rebate is available for a permanent greywater treatment system.
